Peace Posted April 8, 2007 Share #1 Posted April 8, 2007 Here we have 250 30cal bullets that were dug up in the Belgian ardennes. Dated 42/43/44 by various makers. I decided to clean them up to put into an cloth ammo belt. I wanted to save the original color on the tips, so this was going to be tricky. Here is the result; My method; 1. manual rust removal 2.10 second dip in 'salt acid' (dont know exact word) 3.rinse in water 4.remove rustspots with scotch-brite and 120grid sanding paper 5.polish with polishing wheel 6.repeat the above 250 times... When you'll be finished doing this, you will be able to break a ball pen with 3 fingers... Regards Stijn
