tar00 Posted May 6, 2009 Share #1 Posted May 6, 2009 This was for sale on ebay, just ended. I am looking desperately for a QAS parachute, and at first was ready to drop cash on this, but ultimately decided it looked like a civilian chute. What does everyone think? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=350196348928
sgtbrown Posted May 7, 2009 Share #2 Posted May 7, 2009 It is civilian. However, early in the war civilian chutes were used in pilot training schools. I have seen photos of such. Again, though, only on trainees here in the US - never overseas. The Navy did not use QAS chutes till mid-war. Tom
