Brig Posted May 5, 2009 Share #1 Posted May 5, 2009 Got this a couple weeks ago, a men's stretch/hinged bracelet with the initials 'HMS' engraved next to a droop wing EGA. No catches, or latches, just the stretch band. My guess is WWII era, though initials really don't help with IDs...any other input?

teufelhunde.ret Posted May 6, 2009 Share #3 Posted May 6, 2009 Brig, a neat find! I recall these metal stretch bands... they would remove every bit of hair on you wrist! ....were they painful!
HerbG Posted May 6, 2009 Share #4 Posted May 6, 2009 That wrist band looks a lot like the Twist O Flex bands made by Speidel at least as early as the mid 1950's. They were widely advertised on TV and in the print media. As I remember, they had a hinged cover this gave the wearer a compartment for a photo.
