These are different hat badges. Are they USN hat badges from WWII? What is the difference between these two hat badges?

One is USN and one is USMC. Neither looks WW2.

If you could show the whole picture it might be easier to put a date on them.

The insignias are so small on my screen that when I blow them up they blur too much to discern any detail.

Is the second photo AI or something? The first one is definitely Bob Feller in 1945IMG_2220.jpeg.bb5570760a91ae9360235a9cd7e38ee1.jpeg
The second is supposed to Bob Feller in 1945IMG_2219.jpeg.12ce722c0600101bcf26355b9e12a420.jpeg

What’s going on?

The US Marine is in the wrong uniform.

The navy hat badge has a slanted N which went out in 1944.

AI was used to colorize the photo  and it messed up the insignia.    AI does not do well with insignia.  It’s the easiest way to id an AI created/enhanced photo.

Looks like the chain around the bottom of the navy emblem is incorporated into the Marine Corps emblem. I didn't know the AI color programs also did "corrections" like this.
