TRI0N Posted May 25 #1 Posted May 25 I'm currently researching information about equipment used in Vietnam for my Diorama I'm building. The topic I have is Jerrycans. Were all Jerrycans Olive Drab regardless of the contents inside? Were there any distinguishing marks, labels or printing on them? I really could not find any images of them being in colors other than Olive Drab. Not a whole lot of images out there had Jerrycans in them and most of them were black and white. The diorama will be a U.S. Army themed based on Qui Nhon Base West Gate Entry. Example would be a M54A2 leaving the base with escort carrying fuel and supplies ((Jerrycans, Barrels, Ammo, and MRE Boxes) towards Da Nang. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for any information provided.

doyler Posted May 25 #3 Posted May 25 THe ones for water were different on the old metal cans I recall. THey had a different locking cap that sealed and were painted white on th einside. Also had a W mark on them where the fuel had a G and a screw cap.
