Yard sailing finds 533rd Amphibious Engineers more

I was very pleased to find this group to a member of the 533rd engineers. 
 

The family had no idea where it came from.

 

I found 2 names in the group.

 

The unit emblem is by Disney, its hand painted and was cut out of a larger painted sign.

It’s my first find of the season, I’ve been out several times and found nothing military.

Great yardsale finds!! Super jealous! Ill do some looking, I believe I have a photo of that sign around here somewhere. I have a copy of their unit history, Surf and Sand, as well.

Incredible find! The last two letters might be HQ on that sign, so it may have hung on the command tent or just outside the base when it was still a full sign.

That sign displays great and is still full of color after nearly 90 years! And that's the first time for me seeing a soldier's handbook specifically for engineers, cool stuff!
