I am starting a new page. Hopefully I can get a bit of traction with it. Spring is upon us and the Yard Sale / Garage Sales are starting to blossom. So here is the deal, knowing we can't get to every sale we want to, but the "teasing" photos people post are half of the fun of finding what's out there. SO....Post your picture of most unique / interesting item(s) you see in their photo and tell us what you see. Here is the FIRST entry...

Went to this estate sale, but unfortunately, being the second day, the above items were not there. On a positive note, I met the young man who acquired them as he had returned to see what else might be associated with them. Yes, it was a Japanese ribbon bar along with a naval patch and uniform button contained within the lot. He did snag the man's jumper which was still left over from the first day. We had a good conversation and connected some dots.

OK folks, the stuff is out there, let's see the nuggets you spy in the garage/estate sale photos in the listings.

Already jealous just looking at that picture. I go to yardsales in my area frequently and can’t find anything good. Best I’ve found is some commemorative plaques from the 60’s but nothing special. I try and I try and nothing pops up. I’ve always had my best luck in tips of places and homes that had stuff.

I need to start going to more yard sales.... the trift stores in my area can be good so maybe the yard sales are to.

Whether it be yard sale/garage sale/estate sale or online listings (craigslist, liveauctioneries, local auction houses etc., or from where ever... The point I was trying to make, and thank you all for contributing by the way, .... IF you see and add for a sale with a good nugget pictured, maybe NOT featured... post the picture and add the comment or something to the effect of... I Spy....

Though this was not at a garage sale necessarily. It did come out of a garage but was from a tip from a friend.
and yes, I do pick it up and it was named to a raider!

Thrift store find a few days ago. Found in the hobby/sewing section. Didn't even pull them out till I got in the car!  All for $1.00!!!  2 of the college patches are for a college in Japan, thought that interesting.

I’m happy to say I am that young man! I’m still actively working on getting that Flag and seeing if I can get in contact with the son to get his medals and dog tags. One of the best estate sales I’ve been to and I’m happy to say other than those few things I’m pretty sure the group is staying together!

Is the vest something?

far right USMC or Navy pith

That vest looks to me like just a typical hunting vest. Was referring to the ERDL-RDF top in the first image and pith helmets in the 2nd.

There is a name on the vest though the picture got blurry when I downloaded it.

The latest possible nugget hunt item. Saw this military item in a lot of lighters offered on a FB Mkt posting. Not sure if there is enough "meat" to go after it and make it profitable.

Nice big windy lighter!  Can't tell the year of the zippo, but these are bringing decent money.

Nice PASGT (with what looks like painted/drawn rank)  probably some other treaters in the seabag.
