L11-VELASCO Posted April 17 #1 Posted April 17 Dear Folks Please just your thoughts with this hat, original period one, year aprox, any red flags? Thanks in advance Fernando
atb Posted April 17 #2 Posted April 17 A nice looking pattern 1902 enlisted cap for the blue uniform. Light blue trim and cap badge for an infantryman of Company E 23rd Infantry.
CAC1901 Posted April 17 #3 Posted April 17 Beautiful cap. A privately made version of the Army's 1902-1911 pattern dress cap for enlisted men. Its less usual to see these with a west coast uniform companies mark. These were typically bought by state National Guard soldiers, occasionally Army NCO's putting together a tailored uniform, recent veterans and etc.

Thanks Yes, it was not uncommon that veterans maintained a uniform of theior service time for local parades, events, reunions, wear at veterans organization and so on.
L11-VELASCO Posted April 20 Author #11 Posted April 20 Please Just I wonder how should be the pattern 1902 for the US Army Officer,it has the Army eagle instead this insignia with 2 rifles? Any example to post here?? Thanks in advance Fernando
atb Posted April 20 #12 Posted April 20 Officer caps are different than the enlisted pattern. Yes, the badge was an eagle.
