SharpShooter Posted April 1 #1 Posted April 1 Camp Wallace was a soldiers coastal artillery training center in Galveston County Texas , began construction in 1940 and ended as an army base in 1945. It was to hold over 10 thousand soldiers at one time, also housed German POWs. If anyone has any family members that would have been based there please share.
