Unknown USAF Patch

I believe this may be some sort of class patch, but the SR-71 is throwing me off. Embroidered on twill, 5 7/8" tall. Thank you for looking.

Possible, but not sure:

 

QB might stand for "Quiet Birdmen", a reference to a secret society of male aviators.

 

76 might stand for the fact that on 28 July 1976 this aircraft was used to set the World Absolute Speed Record of 2,193 miles per hour. This record is still officially recognized by the World Air Sports Federation as the fastest humans have ever flown in an aircraft. On 23 February 1990, 61-7958 was flown to Robins AFB for display at the Museum of Aviation.

It is a class parch, Navigator Class 76-08 at Mather AFB. 1976 is the year and 08 was the eighth class for that year. Class patches often used other aircraft, most times in hopes that some of them would be assigned to fly it after graduation or because it was a "hot" jet.
