Hello

I was said this vintage hat is a M1895 pattern but I would like about the insignia with that bugle that is confusing me if is Infantry or Musician (that someone told me) and finally what about the number 24 and G from insignia and about the buttons wich branch used them??

Its a privately made cap directly patterned on the US Army 1895 cap. These were made to be sold to state national guards or other quasi-military organizations.  The side buttons are New York state buttons so it was likely used by someone in the NY national guard.  The front piece was added on by a dealer or collector. Its a regular army 1895 cap badge for a company trumpeter. Infantry companys each had 2 trumpeters. The 24th Infantry was a well known all black 'Buffalo soldier' regular army regiment along with the 25th Infantry. These cap badges are available separately and often wind up on all sorts of caps and hats. This is a good authentic state guard 1895 cap. It would look good with a NY infantry regiment cap badge, like the 71st Infantry.

Do you mean with this badge is a put/together hat because not matches from period?

Thanks

They are the same period and original pieces but not worn with each other. A NY national Guard cap with a regular US Army insignia. Someone put the two together probably not knowing the difference.
