JohnK83882 Posted February 7 #1 Posted February 7 Internet Archive just posted this link to the 1930 movie Doughboys. https://archive.org/details/doughboys_1930 Kind of interesting to see films that started as filmed versions of stage plays find their own storytelling techniques.
GWS Posted February 10 #2 Posted February 10 Buster Keaton was one of the funniest actors of the early era. He was quite athletic too, doing his own stunts in all his early films. The best films were the ones he produced and directed himself. Watch "The General" sometime to see what I mean. The other thing I like about these early films is that most of the equipment used in them was original to the period and not something made-up in Hollywood. Just imagine what could be bought in 1922-1930 as surplus for pennies on the dollar! Thanks for posting this, I had not seen it before! Steve
