Hi,

At first glance, it doesn't particularly resonate with me.

When I look at the name, unfortunately in 1968, there were six pilots/NFOs in the USN with that name and two in the Marines (including a helicopter pilot).

Not easy to identify

Hello.

Thanks for your reply.

Can you please give the first names of these aviators ?

I do not have too much time to research this, but some possible squadrons might be:  VF-151, RVAH-7, and an A-4 Skyhawk squadron?

Very hard to find

Probably:

Richard g McKee who was in VA 85 squadron in 1972 ( NFO).

A McKee was in the vah 9 squadron in 1963/64.

I think it was his helmet probably in thé RVAH 7 squadron in 1966- 1967

Hi,

RVAH 7 design for 1966 is different, they wear the squadron insignia on the side and later the have the Vigilante design in the back.

Another possibility could be VFP-62 flying the RF-8 Crusader.  If your helmet has open spaces on the plastic visor housing, it might be from the 1967 or later era.

Quite strange for a Naval driver…

For me there’s only one unit with such design…
