I buy and sell lots of costume jewelry and these copper bracelets look commercial for arthritis.

Agreed - looks like the ones you buy off of the revolving rack at the drug store.  

 

OP, maybe you're thinking about the Montagnard wire bracelets?

 

Those are dissimilar, in that the ones I've see are a single solid strand of a more brass-colored wire.  Usually are modestly decorated (think, engraved); some can be fairly ornate.
