Late 19th century Army Musician lyre button

I've read that a lyre with three strings is Civil War but J.H. Wilson started after the Civil War. The three string design might be older, as is the more detailed edges on the lyre.

Very little info on the lyre button even on this board so I post what I can. This Facebook post is about the best I can find so far. Waiting for an expert to complete the thread.
