DC Posted January 13 #1 Posted January 13 Hi I am Don and am new but want to help a friend find a knife sheath. Don't have a picture of the knife but can get one if anybody knows where and when I can get the sheath. It is supposed to be a Camillus Mark 2 knife. Don Canada Camden SC
thorin6 Posted January 13 #3 Posted January 13 The sheaths come up for sale quite often on Ebay. Price depends on whether you want a new reproduction or an original WW2 one.
DC Posted January 14 Author #4 Posted January 14 No. I don't know. I will ask Frank (owner of the knife}.
Duffswpa Posted February 25 #6 Posted February 25 Hi Don, KaBar sales new sheaths, new and reasonably priced for MK 2 and others. Amazon has a couple of even less expensive sheaths. I just started making sheaths for myself but some other member's are making some really nice leather creations. If you want the original for a knife, what I have done is look for a knife in really poor condition with a decent sheath. Ebay maybe would be a place to start. Sometimes I find them cheaper than buying the sheath separately. Duff
Manky bandage Posted February 25 #7 Posted February 25 You have a number of choices, be patient and find an original one on ebay that comes up every so often and I believe both a leather type and later type are for sale on the forum itself. Id be happy to make a reproduction for you but the postage cost from the UK would probably just as much as the sheath itself. So you might be better off finding someone stateside that can do one. Keep in mind, most of the reproductions on the market available from a number of outlets are not exactly good quality but I am obviously biased.
doyler Posted February 25 #10 Posted February 25 leather or the grey fiber/plastic style are both options.
DC Posted February 25 Author #11 Posted February 25 Thanks. Do you know where I can get one and what they cost?
