Members of the USMF community:

Today the administration was unfortunately forced to suspend the account of community member "101combatvet" due to inappropriate posts on the main board and his repeated uploading of a semi-nude female's picture as his profile picture.

We do not take the banning of a member lightly. The USMF administrators have spent time going through each and every one of this member's posts (including some that were quarantined earlier due to user complaints) and warning / PM logs of warnings prior to making our decision.

In the past this member's name has shown up in member complaints. The typical complaint being that 101combatvet starts or helps facilitate personal attacks against members. As a result of these complaints, 101combatvet was unofficially warned several times over the past year and finally officially warned (i.e. an administrator logged it on his account) on May 14, 2008 at 7:59 AM and again on April 25, 2009 at 7:36 AM.

Apart from 101combatvet's inappropriate candor, this member also took it upon himself to post a semi-nude photograph of a woman as his personal picture. Specifically, this photograph showed the nude buttocks of a woman. USMF is frequented by individuals of all genders, races, and especially ages. For this reason, USMF does not allow pictures (either on the main board or as avatars or personal photos) showing full or partial nudity. The picture was removed from 101combatvet's account and 101combatvet was notified of its removal and the reasons for removal. 101combatvet then took it upon himself to once again upload that exact picture.

It has been said before and will be said again: The point of USMF is to provide a nice, friendly atmosphere within which members of all ages can discuss various aspects of militaria collecting. To fulfill this goal, we hold each and every member to a standard - act like adults. Part of acting like an adult is the ability to facilitate meaningful discussion without angering, offending, and/or upsetting the very people with whom we wish to have discussions. Another part of acting like an adult is without a doubt the ability to realize that some images (particularly those showing nudity) are not appropriate for all ages. When members demonstrate a repeated inability to adhere to USMF’s standards, the USMF administration is forced to ban the member's account.

Please use caution when dealing with any individual bearing the following or similar information (copied below from here and other sites):

Username:

101combatvet

In the future, all members are encouraged to behave in an adult manner in all sections of this board, which includes not only the main forums but also the chatroom and private messaging and emailing systems. There are some forums where this inappropriate behavior is applauded, however USMF is NOT one of those places.
