HUD69 Posted December 28, 2025 #1 Posted December 28, 2025 There is a jacket offered locally, looking like an A-2 type (label hardly readable) with a nice patch. As this is not my area of expertise, I would like to ask for some help on this one. Who has more information: exact type of jacket year / date Original patch or reproduction estimated value of this jacket Thanks! Ron
warguy Posted December 28, 2025 #2 Posted December 28, 2025 It’s is a G-1 Navy aviators jacket not an A2. The tag is real hard to read so tough to date but looks like a Brill Borthers maker. I think if I recall correctly they are a later maker, Viet Nam vintage or later. The fly next to zipper should be hole punched with USN. Better pictures (zipper, etc) would be needed to assess a good value. Someone else will have to comment on the patch. I cant tell from these photos what is going on with the right side, a patch removed perhaps? Jackets of this vintage don't go for near as much as WWII vintage examples. Looks like it has some condition issues. Let’s see what others say and some better picture will help.
HUD69 Posted December 28, 2025 Author #3 Posted December 28, 2025 Thanks, I noticed the DSA-100 on the label, indicating an after 1962 date. So that ruled out WW2. Thanks!
