The Experimental T56-5 CVC Helmet — The T56-6 CVC Helmet’s Predecessor

The T56-5 was the predecessor to the T56-6. The most obvious difference was that the T56-5 had no noise dampening ensolite lining on the shell’s interior. This example has a rudimentary switch box, and not a switch box used by the MK-400/G or MK-401/G headset-microphone kits found on early T56-6 helmets. You can see this rudimentary switch box in a report that included a picture of what looks like a T56-5.
