83(?) and 87-dated UNICOR PASGT lids

Here we have my two PASGT lids-an ‘83 (or ‘88, it’s unclear) UNICOR made, with Woodland cover and foam circle in the top, and an ‘87 dated UNICOR with Choc-Chip cover, foam circle, 3-piece Impact Liner, Parachutists pad, Retaining Straps and SWD goggles. Both covers ‘may’ be ‘84 dated but it’s not clear enough. The Cat-Eye bands are both Dutch from the 90s as that’s all I had to hand.

 

The ‘87 version I got from a good friend in Mexico. The outer shell is painted black for some reason but otherwise it’s a standard PASGT. I’d been after one of these ever since I saw one in my local surplus store for £15(!) around 1990/1991, so to now own two is pretty cool 😎 

 

I did make a slight c#ck-up with the positioning of the Retention Straps when attaching the Parachutists, which is why they appear in two different positions.
