Wow, flashback!  Cool photo.  While decades later, there was a game very similar to that in my local arcade when I was growing up.  Must have worked off of light beam detection.  It played grainy B&W footage of WWII fighter planes, and you had - what looked like - an M2 to try and shoot them down.  Core memory - thanks for that.
