Red USMC name tape

Does anyone know when this style USMC name tape would have been worn?   1950's?  Korea?

Yes, my limited experience with these sorts of name tags is usually Korea.  I am not sure of the timeframe but the utility uniforms I have seen them on were 50s to early 60s vintage. Totally unauthorized but cool.  SF - Jeff
