HUD69 Posted December 16, 2025 #1 Posted December 16, 2025 Hi all, I recently purchased a CWU-27 online from a USN helicopter unit. Upon further investigation into the name of the aircrew member who used this suit, I came across a less than pleasant detail. It turns out this man is in prison after murdering his wife (several years after his tours in the Gulf and his active career) What would you do in my situation? Keep it, or toss it out. Cheers, Ron
RWW Posted December 17, 2025 #2 Posted December 17, 2025 Just because a person does something bad doesn't make them a bad person. I would hate for my entire life to be judged by the single worst thing I have done. Did he serve honorably when wearing the flight suit? If he did, then remember the good he did and the man he likely is, not the worst thing he did and let the flight suit represent that time.
phantomfixer Posted December 20, 2025 #3 Posted December 20, 2025 I imagine there are items in collections with a darker history…🤷♂️
