AAFES One Cent Pogs

During the month of November 2025, the Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) conducted a Salute to Service Month campaign recognizing Active Duty and Veteran service members. As part of their campaign the gave away a special edition of one cent  AAFES POGS in 71 designs.  35 for the Army, 35 for the AIr Force and 1 Vet for Life POG. They were designed by AAFES Communications Specialist Pete Frigillana, an Army Veteran.  They were given out at PXs and BXs Worldwide, one per authorized customer. 

 

What was interesting is that my local AAFES store, located on an Army post, only had the Army POGs. Despite the one per customer limit, I was able to secure 21 POGS over visits each Saturday and on Veteran's Day.  I found it a bit frustrating how difficult these were to get after collecting 5, 10, and 25 cent AAFES POGS for over 20 years.  Whenever I think I'm done a new set of POGs comes out, like 2017 and now 2025.

Surprised POGs are still a thing, especially within the military.

They were first used in 2003, in 5, 10, and 25 cent POGs sent PX and BX stores in Iraq and Afghanistan to replace metal change in an effort to reduce weight. After a number of series of POGS with different images they were discontinued in 2010, brought back in 2017. And then the 2025 penny POGs which were just give aways.

Good evening ... I have been collecting AAFES Pogs for over 20 years. I am hoping some one with in these posts might have some ideas on how to obtain the 1 cent pogs. I have several AAFES POGS from all 16 Printings ... armysgti  at the Yahoo would be a great place to respond to if you could please.   Thank you ...
