Benjaminn Posted November 16, 2025 #1 Posted November 16, 2025 Herbert Lee Perry, 25 Jul 1903 - 8 Apr 1925 Herbert was a Banana Wars Marine. He served in the Dominican Republic and various other posts. He died at the age of 21 in a cleaning accident while stationed in DC. I am honored to be the caretaker of this group. My favorite piece has to be his Ensign 7 flag, not sure how he managed to get one, but it’s awesome when unfurled. A more detailed write-up will follow, but I was too excited not to post this amazing group. Semper Fi! I posted this on Facebook, but figured it would be worth posting here as well. :)

mvmhm Posted November 16, 2025 #4 Posted November 16, 2025 Great group...what a terrible end to a young life. Mark sends
ludwigh1980 Posted November 17, 2025 #5 Posted November 17, 2025 Tragic story, outstanding WW1 era Marine truck group. To be the caretakers of soldiers and sailor's remembrances is a noble act......they live on only if one preserves their deeds and memory.
Edward C Bell Posted November 21, 2025 #6 Posted November 21, 2025 an incredibly complete grouping, and a sad ending to the story.
themick Posted November 21, 2025 #7 Posted November 21, 2025 I love these interwar groupings. This one is great with the visor cap and field hat. Thanks for sharing it with us. Steve
