jermmcd Posted April 23, 2009 Share #1 Posted April 23, 2009 Can someone help me with some info? Typical small ribbon pin, but has a metal leaf (I think..?) affixed to the pin. Any ideas? I still learning here, so please forgive me. I have been trying to research this ribbon pin, but haven't found a definitive source for research. I am new to collecting these items and don't really know how to search or where to search. Any help is greatly appreciated! Again, I appreciate any pointers, starting places, or info! MPage Posted April 23, 2009 Share #2 Posted April 23, 2009 I'd imagine that's a national guard award. Kind of painstaking, and not conclusive (since certain ribbons are used by more than one state): http://www.usamilitarymedals.com/us-army-n...064cdb70ae6062c
FrankEaton01 Posted April 23, 2009 Share #3 Posted April 23, 2009 It looks like an ROTC Drill Team Membership ribbon. An oak leaf cluster typically means a second award.
camonick Posted April 23, 2009 Share #4 Posted April 23, 2009 I use this web site LINK HERE to search for ribbons. You may have to search through thousands, but it can be done. I agree: probably a state or national guard medal. Minnesota State Guard Service Ribbon (obsolete) is a match. The bronze oak leaf would signify an additional award. Teamski Posted April 23, 2009 Share #5 Posted April 23, 2009 ....Or the AFJROTC Outstanding Flight Ribbon. I thought I saw it before. Maybe my brother wore it years ago.... -Ski
