HANG CHOW HOUSEBOAT EXPEDITION MEDAL

To continue to honor Bob's thread, here are close ups of the medal. Note the seam running around the rim of the planchett. This is similar to how a  Soochow is constructed, so probably indicating they were created and assembled by the same source. Given the crudeness of these spoof medals I am not inclined to think an established jeweler like Tuck Chang created them. But were probably commissioned by a far small operation. Another a comparison to the Soochow, with the Hangchow. The Hangchow being above the Soochow. And some close up details of the front and reverse.  Again a big thanks to Bob for being the one who introduced this medal to many of us on the forum. His legacy continues.....

Ran through a portion of the collection and found these two images taken during one of the houseboat expeditions. The reality was participants were not always transported on wind  driven junks, but rowed covered barges. The 1st shot shows a sight recorded from one of the houseboats of what appears to be occidental women swimming
