Just got this 101st Signal helmet shell today. It's been on my list for quite a while, then I find two for sale in the same week :)

Beautiful Erick! You have very fine taste in painted helmets! :D Here's the "mate" to your 9th Balloon Co., though not quite as good condition.post-2137-0-18728200-1488635655.jpg

One other, very somber. This man was from a small town about 40 miles from me. Curtis O. Thomas- 84th Div. 334th Inf. Co. H Has anyone seen a helmet similarly painted like this for a WW1 veteran? Was it used as part of a memorial at his funeral???post-2137-0-33541500-1488636852_thumb.jpg
