The Rooster Posted January 20, 2020 Share #798 Posted January 20, 2020 I should be getting known on here by now for my wild guesses and speculations.... But Il make another one on this helmet. It seems like maybe this one was cammoed for its intended purpose rather than a souvenier.???
hink441 Posted January 25, 2020 Share #799 Posted January 25, 2020 Recently obtained this camo helmet. Initially I did not realize there was a shield painted on the top of the helmet. After studying the remaining paint job closer, I realized it was a 7th infantry helmet. Here is a picture of my helmet (top) and a picture of a restored helmet from a dealer (bottom) that has been sold. The resemblance is somewhat clear. The dealer's helmet was listed as being original but professionally "restored".
hink441 Posted January 25, 2020 Share #800 Posted January 25, 2020 Another picture of the helmet... Hopefully you can make out the shield on the helmet.
