atb Posted January 22, 2018 Share #751 Posted January 22, 2018 Here's mine. Unit is 48 CCA. Probably CAC for Coast Artillery Corps, not CCA.
pjm Posted January 23, 2018 Share #752 Posted January 23, 2018 Probably CAC for Coast Artillery Corps, not CCA. Right! Thanks for correcting the typo. I'm curious if there are other camo or unit marked experimental helmets out there.

Pbaczuk Posted March 15, 2018 Share #755 Posted March 15, 2018 I secured this one today. There is no liner. It is a 4th Marine Regimental HQ helmet. Enjoy.

rustbucket Posted March 15, 2018 Share #757 Posted March 15, 2018 Picked up this 82nd division helmet. Has some miles on it, no liner, chinstrap or rim, but nice honest named helmet.
Pegasus6 Posted March 15, 2018 Share #758 Posted March 15, 2018 Love this thread. WWI helmets just have a very special touch to them... Its amazing to me that WWI shells don't go for as much as WWII shells... esp with names. -Peg
AustinO Posted March 15, 2018 Share #759 Posted March 15, 2018 Another 82nd. Drove 2hrs through an ice storm the night before leaving for the SOS to buy a near complete uniform grouping from a grandson. Gotta love craigslist. Helmet is nice and complete, I swear I just saw a similarly camouflaged one to the same regiment (326th) - but cant find it now. Interesting that the 82nd isn't squared up on the front. rustbucket Posted November 10, 2018 Share #761 Posted November 10, 2018 This one is pretty rough, but I've always wanted a 101st ammo train.

Pbaczuk Posted December 15, 2018 Share #768 Posted December 15, 2018 I picked up a neat "Old Hickory" helmet in my town. There is an additional cockade or flower painted beneath the Old Hickory image. The camouflage paint seems to have sawdust mixed within.
