Former Regular Army Artillery,  Father Army Sig Corps West Point Grad,  Grandfather WWI vet wounded 3 times and gassed once.    Have a bit of militaria from my Grandfather and Dad.

Welcome, red leg! Where would we beeeee,,,,,without the artillereeeee?! The queen of battle! I'm yelling because you are probably hard of hearing!

 

Just giving you a hard time, vet-to-vet. I was armored recon in a cavalry regiment on the Czech border during the VN era. It sucked, but it sure beat the jungles of SE Asia. Dad served in the same regiment at the same post 20 years earlier when I was just a baby. He was career Army, 8-years National Guard 1930-38, 29-years active Army 1942-71. I joined a month after he retired.

 

Dad served briefly with Headquarters, 42nd Infantry Division Artillery in Austria during the occupation of Europe following WW II, but he had nothing to do with artillery. He was a cavalry officer serving at the time as the displaced person's officer at the displaced person's camps the artillery was guarding.
