Hi; I recently have been sorting and digitizing my dad's Vietnam photos (4th Transportation Command, USARV; Radio repairman.) He's still very much alive, but I want to get some of his photos out into the world to see. I also have a grandfather who was in WWII (Pacific Theatre; HQ Battery, 105th F.A. Battalion,) another who was a Tank Destroyer (Ammunition carrier,) numerous uncles who were is USAF, Marines, and an aunt who was a WWII codebreaker.

Loooking fwd to posting photos, learning every single thing that I possibly can, and helping if able! (I am relatively new to researching, only getting really interested in the past decade or so.)

Welcome! Sounds like you have your work cut out for you! But great to start in on it now- when your Dad can help answer questions!

Yes! I have asked him a bit, but he gets a bit distant when he brings some things up. If there's info that I can learn independently and bring up to him, I think that's be cool!

Welcome to the forum, your family has a long and storied past of Service to our Nation. Many thanks for that.

Capturing the history of our family members who have served is a noble gesture and honors those who are no longer with us as well as those who still remain.

Looking forward to seeing your photos and hearing your stories

Best

Hello! My name is laney.  I have a very large collection of WWI items. My grandfather was 1st lieutenant us army in the 31st sent to Siberia.  Grandpa saved EVERYTHING  and I'm needing to move and can't take it. I don't have a ton of time so I'm looking to sell the entire collection wholesale
