I have a Model 1909 Bolo with the fairly standard markings of what appears to be a serial number (US over 56966} on one side of the blade and on the other side PLUMB over PHILA over ordinance mark over 1917.  Additionally, CCC is haphazardly stamped along the blade perpendicular to the hilt above the manufacturer’s mark.  My working theory is that this was probably from a post-WWI surplus stock acquired by the depression era Civilian Conservation Corps.  Does anyone know anything about this?
