Now that I have been in the hobby for a number of years now, I've gotten to see many people's interests and their impressions to go along with them. We all love a good Nam marine impression, or a good 29th infantry D-Day impression, but I'd like to get some other members opinions about what you think is a obscure, under represented impression? Any branch, any timeframe.

For what my opinion is worth, 50s USAF anything is rare to see, and I would love to see more.

101st Airborne WW2 is totally definitely the most underrepresented unit in history.

A "cracker jack" impression would be interesting. Burning the waste is extremely important to maintain hygiene, but this is seldomly portrayed... I can't imagine why... ;)

USAAF and USN/marine aviation is pretty seldomly seen. Not that it’s obscure, just harder to find items and events that cater to it. Both have very drippy uniforms and impressions I might add. Another one I would say is foreign volunteers under the US in both theaters, like the Brazilians, and French that fought in the ETO and MTO. Both have neat kids and the French gear combos are awesome. Just 2 of the many underrepresented impressions imo.

1958 3rd Army (CONUS Training Command) is pretty obscure but cool.

Modified HBTs in use along side the OD107 sateens till about 1959 then the new rank system came in and the old HBTs seem to have diasappeared. Ridgeway caps were the rage. Boots went black in 1956. Belts were OD/Tan with brass buckles till 1959 for enlisted, then black.

Friends of my are in a late 1942 CONUS impression up front and early 1942 in the rear.
