muddyboots Posted September 27, 2025 #1 Posted September 27, 2025 I picked this up the other day in a small batch of Navy insignia and thought I would post it to see what others might think. It's about 1 1/4” wide and 1 1/8” tall. The eagle is brass or bronze with a silver plating. I'm thinking early WW2??? Any thoughts or opinions are welcome.
muddyboots Posted September 27, 2025 Author #2 Posted September 27, 2025 I did run across this image posted by MastersMate in post 64 of Pre 1941 Left Facing USN Officer's Hat Device. Very similar device set up.
KurtA Posted September 27, 2025 #3 Posted September 27, 2025 I would guess early WW2 before everything went sterling to conserve strategic metals.

I did run across this from another B, B&B catalog from 1928 that has the breakdown of the type devices that could be ordered. It would be awesome to see a catalog from pre WW2.
