My Recent M-3 purchase

Hello Folk's,

I have wanted one of these for quite some time.

I was shown one years ago that was in Mint condition.

From what I heard, somebody found a crate of unissued ones.

Well those came and went. But I always keep my eye open for the chance to get one if I saw it.

 That chance came on a Make an offer site.

So, I threw out a $300 offer, and the kind Gentleman accepted it.

It wasn't far from me, so shipping was only another $24.

It arrived in today's mail. I'll share the seller's pics.

I'll post more when it's in its final location.

 I would say the flocking is at about 96-97%.

I saw that unissued crate of these helmets at the MAX show.  I can't remember exactly when, maybe 25-30 years ago?  They were exactly like the one shown here with the instruction sheet.  They were $50 each.  I bought one and I still have it.  I wish I had the insight at the time to buy more.

Nice example, Phil. Mine came with the instructions as well. Got it in about '95. Also for $50.

Was gone a while... How's your mannequin project coming along?
