Read several post on edged weapons, about the USNavy MK 2 Camillus knife. 
most talk about it being a WW II knife. I am a US Navy, Vietnam Veteran and was issued this knife in 1970. I was serving on a destroyer escort as a Gunners Mate and was assigned as the ships swimmer. Great knife, holds edge well and even holds up to a lot of salt water.
