All,

Got a grouping to a US pilot in 49th pursuit squadron. Had one kill. Wondering what victory medal he would have gotten. As an aside his letters home were published and some wild combat stories. Just crazy what these first combat aviators did.

thanks

Marc

The 2nd pursuit group was awarded the World War 1 Victory medal with only the France service clasp.

Huh. Isn’t that for units that weren’t in combat? Thanks though
