Thrifter_01 Posted September 19, 2025 #1 Posted September 19, 2025 Found in the local flea market I usually visit, this Purple Heart and Bronze Star Medal belong to Lt. Colonel Allan E. Smith, part of Brig Gen Clifford Bluemels staff, an FA officer who was stationed on Bataan with them. He would be killed on April 12, 1942 on the Bataan Death March. He is laid to rest in Del Rio, Texas. Part of the grouping includes a framed case with both his engraved PH and BSM. Along with a framed PH document and letter from Robert P. Patterson. His PH was given on March 12, 1943. He was awarded his Bronze Star for Bataan on War Dept Go # 91 of 1946. His PH is numbered on the side with 437025 or 487025.
