The serial number might be the contract number. The Randolph Engineering sunglasses look just like the Randolph sunglasses I  wore in Vietnam 1970-71. I compared them to photos a friend took of me in Vietnam and they are exactly the same. I wonder which numbers represent the dimensions of the sunglasses: length to ears and width of lenses?

Looks like the contract number is from 1990.
