I hail from Northern Calif and I'm not a collector of U.S. militaria per say, but I have all of my father's possessions from his time in the Navy. He was part of the greatest generation and didn't really talk about his military service. I have been reconstructing his early military life through Navy documents, flight logs, photo albums, badges, insignias, etc., and reading this forum incessantly, along with correspondence through pm's and emails with knowledgeable members and I have learned a great deal!
