JohnK83882 Posted September 4, 2025 #1 Posted September 4, 2025 Seen a few of these Army buttons with a Marine Corps button finish. Don't know where they were used or if it was just one manufacturing run from one company using whatever they had on hand. This has a City Button Works backmark.
JohnK83882 Posted September 4, 2025 Author #2 Posted September 4, 2025 This web page says, "If the button is made of bronze (looking like a penny made before 1963), it will often be presumed to be made before World War II." https://inkspotantiques.com/index.php?main_page=page&id=10&srsltid=AfmBOopxj6sRZFzKtFq94j-8nWQ18IAuNr-KSZSdEulwfPfX9D241A2E
