ACH goggle retention straps.

Simple question, where these issued with the ACH's from the beginning or were they added later?

Best asked when were these straps first issued?

I was first issued an ACH in early 2005 as part of the rapid fielding initiative prior to deployment. It came with a UCP cover and OD goggle retention straps. I saw when I returned from deployment, they changed the color of the retention straps from OD to foliage green to match the rest of the gear.

RFI was the only place I saw them even issued.  Ones drawn from CIF typically did not have them from my experience; however CIF issues gear depending on unit of assignment on that base so depending on gaining unit draw list you could get them I suppose.
