[455Buick]

I just recently joined the forum after lurking for a couple of years. My name is Allen and my handle is 455Buick. There is a story there, but I digress. I joined because I have one burning question.

 

Perhaps someone can answer. When or How did scabbards get married to the Bayonets?? I can find no answer here, or in Gary Cunningham's book or website.

 

As for my collection, it is not much. A 1943 AFH M1 cut down from a M1905 with C.A.B. grips, UC clasp and cut down M3 scabbard to M7 dated B /6 N and REP. A 1943 AFH M1905 original. (I do not know how it avoided the cut down contract) with a M3 scabbard dated B 1/3 N and lastly a 1965/1966 Milpar M5e1.
