L11-VELASCO Posted August 17, 2025 #1 Posted August 17, 2025 Hello Folks Just I need someone light me with this bayonet with hollowed out triangular tapered blade. Stamped at the ear, “US”. Total length 530mm, socket diameter 19.9mm It could be used during US Civil War and in this case for both:Union and Confederation? Thanks in advance Fernando

Just was said in another Forum that Looks like the US Model 1835 / 1840 bayonet. Owner is selling as US Model 1855(Civil War 1861-1865) Really Im a bit confused
iron bender Posted September 2, 2025 #5 Posted September 2, 2025 I agree with manayunkman. If US it is not pre Civil War, at best a 55 model bayonet. It looks long and again the small diameter socket, possibly for a rolling block
