Loon Posted August 9, 2025 #1 Posted August 9, 2025 I found this in a box of my dad's collections I was wondering if it was legit. He was an avid collector and an expert but Dad had poor eyesight near the end. A couple fakes slipped by him. Thank you in advance
Blacksmith Posted August 9, 2025 #2 Posted August 9, 2025 Looks like a righteous KIA PH to me. PVT Savalli was killed in action on 4/7/1945, as a member of the 121st Infantry Regiment, which was part of the 8th ID. For further research purposes, he enlisted out of Mercer County, NJ, with the ASN of 32956624. https://www.fieldsofhonor-database.com/index.php/en/american-war-cemetery-margraten-s/65079-savalli-michael-r RIP PVT Savalli.
Loon Posted August 9, 2025 Author #3 Posted August 9, 2025 So very sad he was only 35. My Dad did most of his collecting in central NJ so the location makes sense too. Thank you
