Another Boatswain pipe added to the collection

This is my oldest Boatswain pipe saw it on eBay and had to have it. You can see the sterling mark and the age of time were the silver turned black and a lanyard material I never seen before. The weird thing is it has the smell of the sea on it. If anyone ever been in a cargo hold of a older ship and it has that musty smell you never forget that what it smells like. You touch it and the smell in your hands. Brings back the memories of being aboard ship. The lanyard stiff as a board. I think this one older than WW2 possibly WW1. There is a name scratch on the side Kateb must of been his last name. And they had to be smaller I can't put the lanyard over my head. People were smaller over a hundred years ago.
