I am trying to get a date range for a US Marine button. I can't find the manufacture in the Albert boor or the M&B makers book.

 

I see a lot of online references to 1902-1930 but cannot find a company history.

 

Any thoughts on this?

If backmarks are the only things you have, then the resource you want is McGuinn & Bazelon, American Military Buttons and Dealers, specifically the 2006 expanded edition. Here’s the listing:
