I'm a bit puzzled. I have done some research but could not find a SAW blue Krag cartridge belt with these adjusters. All I see were the elongated brass loops (or thin brass "C") type adjusters that come up from the back and loop over the cartridge loops not this claw hook set up with 6 pairs of brass grommet holes.  I can not find any photo info on line about this type belt adjusters. Also has 45 loops. Can anyone here enlighten me? Thanks!

I've had a number of similar variations to these woven belts. This is a variant on the 1894 patented fastening system. This version moves the belt end hooks by affixing them inside the belt body rather than the exposed grip on the outside belt edge. Whether that was from a customer request or alternate design I don't know. The belt appears to have 45/70 loops. Its most likely customer was a state militia / guard or military school etc.

Thanks CAC1901. I just purchased this blind from a well known reputable dealer I’ve known quite a while, but it wasn’t exactly the Mills type belt that we discussed. I’m awaiting more information from him. It’s a good looking belt, but because of the questionable pedigreed, I’m not sure if I’d like to have this as my representational SAW KRAG belt to go with my ‘96 rifle. In your opinion what kind of price would you put on this…ballpark ? Thanks again.

Values can be estimated by reviewing dealers web sites and looking at auctions, completed and active. If you are looking for a proper SAW i.e. 1898-1900 era krag belt, there is only the dark blue double looped Mills types, mounted or dismounted, with the same c-catch fastener system as this one has. By 1900 the tan version was replacing the blue ones.
