Marine Corps patch ?

I've had it in my collection for a while now but I can't find it mentioned in any of my reference books ?  Any ideas ?  WWII ?  Post-war?  Any help greatly appreciated

WWI 5th Marine Brigade.

 

99.9% of these were made for collectors....

Also, these were not made during WWI but during WWII. And as Allen said, they were made for patch collectors.
